Decile groups

Decile groups - groups of population (households) formed by dividing the total population (households) into 10 numerically equal parts.

When constructing decile groups, the population (households) is ranked by the level of average per capita disposable resources (income) in ascending order, and then divided into ten equal groups, each of which includes 10% of the total population (households). As a result, the first decile group (lowest) includes 10 per cent of the population (households) with the lowest level of average per capita disposable resources (income), the second decile group includes the next 10 per cent of the population (households) and so on, and the tenth decile group (highest) includes 10 per cent of the population (households) with the highest level of average per capita disposable resources (income).
